About The Plate Room
The Plate Room began with a simple idea: some of the finest artworks ever printed live in museum archives most people never open. We bring them out, restore them, and print them properly.
We spend our time in those archives. We choose works from the collections of institutions like the Cleveland Museum of Art and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, select the scans with the best detail and color, clean scanner edges and dust, balance the tones, and give each plate a soft off-white border so it drops into any standard frame.
Every print is made to order on thick archival matte paper with pigment inks and ships from the United States, usually within a week. No warehouses full of stock, no waste.
The Plate Room is operated by Lukrum Holdings, Inc., a Tennessee company. Questions? Email support@theplateroom.com and we will answer within one business day.
